Welcome to the Wolmer’s Trust Website, a website dedicated to the tradition of excellence of the Three (3) Wolmer’s Schools – Wolmer’s Trust High School for Boys, Wolmer’s Trust High School for Girls, and Wolmer’s Preparatory School.
It is my pleasure, as Chairman of the Trust, to preside over the re-birth of our website, which now depicts not just our historic mission of excellence, but also the youthful energy of those we serve. The site is complete with e-commerce capability and I encourage you to trust that capability by using it to make a pledge to the Wolmer’s Schools.
When I became Trust Chairman, in addition to the general advancement of the Wolmer’s Brand and Schools, I had three (3) specific objectives. The first was to ensure that the Trust became a modern pro-active Trust which had as one of its key performance indicators, the raising of substantial funds for the Schools.
The second was the construction of a Modern Auditorium at the Boy’s School, to ensure that our young gentlemen could assemble other than in the heat of the morning sun.
The third was the establishment of THE WOLMER’S ACADEMY as an adjunct to the educational offering of the three (3) Schools and as a means of earning additional revenues. – Click here to read more.
A Brief History
Wolmer’s Schools, established in 1729 are located in Kingston, Jamaica and consists of Wolmer’s Pre-School, Wolmer’s Prep School and two high schools Wolmer’s Girls’ School and Wolmer’s Boys’ School. The original school is the second oldest English speaking school in the Caribbean. The Wolmer’s Schools are considered among Jamaica’s most prestigious schools, with traditional British-style uniforms, a Christian ethos, and a firm disciplinary code.
